Hello!  My dad was on the USS Bennington 1944-1946, Seaman 1st Class,
William
F. Jameson, Lookout Division.  I just informed him of my finding this
website
tonight and hope that he'll visit soon to view it himself (he does not have
a
computer).  I've found it pretty interesting just to know that "he was
there"
and (thankfully) "is still here" for all of his family to still enjoy!  At
his request, I'll be adding his name to the crew list should anyone remember
him and want to look him up.

He has a question, if anyone can help.  Does anyone know where/how he can
obtain a copy of the "Ship's Book" (as he referred to it) which was given
out
at the end of the war.  Apparently, he did not get one (?) or his copy was
lost.

Appreciate your help, and if you remember my dad, please let me know!
